Guidance of the Sincere Advisors in Clarifying the Condition of some Indian Brothers


From the pearls of guidance of the Prophet is this narration on the authority of Anas bin Mālik -may Allāh be pleased with him-

”اصْبِرُوا، فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ زَمَانٌ إِلاَّ الَّذِي بَعْدَهُ شَرٌّ مِنْهُ، حَتَّى تَلْقَوْا رَبَّكُمْ ‏“
“Be patient till you meet your Lord, for no time will come upon you but the time following it will be worse than it.

Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 7068

Indeed from the great tribulations upon us is that which has spread vastly and widely among the Muslim Ummah from splitting in their ranks into groups and partisanship.

{فَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍۭ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ}

“But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in what is with it (as its beliefs).”

Surah al-Mu’minun 23:53

Especially in our times where the nets of Ḥizbiyyah have been beautified by its people, in the form of discreet principles aimed to aid their deviations from the Sunnah, thus many a people have been misguided due to it.

And in such times, safety and security is for the one who returns the affairs to the trustworthy scholars, while there does not cease to exist from fitnah-mongers and majāhīl (unidentified individuals), those who blame the Ahlus-Sunnah for speaking without knowledge and exceeding the limits and reducing these errors in Manhaj to mere “ego clashes”.

{وَإِذَا جَاءَهُمْ أَمْرٌ مِّنَ الْأَمْنِ أَوِ الْخَوْفِ أَذَاعُوا بِهِ ۖ وَلَوْ رَدُّوهُ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ وَإِلَىٰ أُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْهُمْ لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَنبِطُونَهُ مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لَاتَّبَعْتُمُ الشَّيْطَانَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا}

“When there comes to them some matter touching (public) safety or fear, they make it known (among the people), if only they had referred it to the Messenger or to those charged with authority among them, the proper investigators would have understood it from them (directly). Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah upon you, you would have followed Shaitan (Satan), save a few of you.”

Sūrah an-Nisāʾ 4:83

Hence, this is a small effort, seeking by it the face of Allāh ﷻ and closeness to him, to gather some of the advices of the scholars and students of knowledge regarding some deceptive individuals smitten by Ḥizbiyyah, we ask Allāh ﷻ for safety from deviance after guidance.


From the compelling reasons that led to putting together this compilation are:

  • Request from several brothers to clarify the condition of these individuals. As the Prophet ﷺ said in the hadīth narrated by Abu Hurairah -may Allāh be pleased with him- regarding the six rights of a Muslim over another:

If he asks for advice, give him sincere advice

  • A reminder and a warning to those brothers who have very unfortunately been following their desires; to accept the sincere advice of the scholars, repent and make tawbah as Allah ﷻ says:

{وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَرَفَعْنَاهُ بِهَا وَلَٰكِنَّهُ أَخْلَدَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ وَاتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ ۚ فَمَثَلُهُ كَمَثَلِ الْكَلْبِ إِن تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْهِ يَلْهَثْ أَوْ تَتْرُكْهُ يَلْهَث ۚ ذَّٰلِكَ مَثَلُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا ۚ فَاقْصُصِ الْقَصَصَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ}

And had We willed, We would surely have elevated him therewith but he clung to the earth and followed his own vain desire. So his description is the description of a dog: if you drive him away, he lolls his tongue out, or if you leave him alone, he (still) lolls his tongue out. Such is the description of the people who reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). So relate the stories, perhaps they may reflect.”

Sūrah al-Aʿrāf 7:176
  • Gathering the advices which are scattered in multiple locations for the ease of the one seeking the truth as Abu Burda -may Allah be pleased with him- reported: The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, said:

يَسِّرَا وَلَا تُعَسِّرَا وَبَشِّرَا وَلَا تُنَفِّرَا وَتَطَاوَعَا وَلَا تَخْتَلِفَا

Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided.

Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3038
  • Advice to those exposed to the fitnah of these individuals due to Allāh’s ﷻ saying:

{يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَنْ تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ}

O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done”

Surah al-Ḥujurat 49:6

We ask Allāh ﷻ to put barakah into it and grant it acceptance amongst His slaves.

  • Shaykh Abū Bilāl Khālid bin ʿAbūd Bāʿāmir al-Ḥaḍramī حفظه الله

    • Clarifying the condition of Arafāt al-Muḥammadī al-Basīrī, Muḥammad (al-Imām) ar-Raymī and Muḥammad Saʿīd Raslān al-Misrī هداهم الله



  • Shaykh Abū Ḥamzah Ḥasan bin Muḥammad Bā Shuʿaib al-Ḥaḍramī حفظه الله

    Outline of contents:

    The Shaykh answered questions asked by some students from Kerala, India, regarding some speech from Sājid bin Sharīf al-Hindī; in which he defends many deviants and thereby became a cause for doubts and confusion amongst brothers. (This speech was translated for the Shaykh)

  • Shaykh Abū Bilāl Khālid bin ʿAbūd Bāʿāmir al-Hadhramī حفظه الله

    📅Muḥarram 8, 1440

    Outline of contents:

    A person abuses our steadfast brothers, rather they are from the du’āt (callers) in India and they have a Markaz and they have initiated the Da’wah. Also, this person has bad manners and he speaks ill of their Manhaj (methodology) without evidence and spreads it amongst the people and does not accept advice. Should he be distanced from the Da’wah?



  • Akhūnā Abū Hārūn Muḥammad Tawīl حفظه الله

    📅Muḥarram 20, 1440

    Outline of contents:

    This is a brief advice from the noble brother, when he was made aware of some of the doubts and falsehood spread between the brothers in the form of principles which are in fact based upon watering down the deen (tamyī) and partisanship (ḥizbiyyah) as the reader will see.


  • Shaykh Abū Muʿādh Ḥussain al-Ḥaṭībī حفظه الله

    📅Rabīʿ al-Ākhir 11, 1440

    🔸 മൂന്നു ദിവസം മുമ്പ്‌ – റബീഉൽ ആഖിർ 10 തിങ്കൾ- നു ഈയുള്ളവന്റെ പേരു സൂചിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഒരു എഴുത്ത്‌ സഹോദരൻ അബൂ ജിഹാദ്‌ മഅ്റൂഫ്‌ ഫോർവേർഡ്‌ ചെയ്ത്‌ തന്നു. അതിനെ കുറിച്ച്‌ തൊട്ടടുത്ത ദിവസം തന്നെ അതെഴുതിയവരെ നേരിട്ടറിയുന്ന , നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടിലെ സലഫി ദഅ്വയെ കുറിച്ച്‌ അതെഴുതിയവർ തന്നെ അറിയിച്ച കൃത്യമായ ധാരണകളുള്ള  ഉലമാക്കളിലേക്ക്‌ ചോദ്യമയക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ചോദ്യവും അതിനു ലഭിച്ച മറുപടിയും വിവർത്തനം ചെയ്ത്‌ താഴെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

    • Strong rebuke for majāhīl (unknown individuals) who are attempting to occupy the brothers with their shubuhāt and keep them away from beneficial knowledge

We truly hope that Allāh ﷻ brings benefit and clarity through these words of advice, which the basis of it is the Qur’an and the Sunnah, for those who are seeking it sincerely, and the tawfīq is from Allāh alone. Also, we ask Allāh ﷻ to preserve our Mashayikh, the Scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah, whose guidance resembles the moonlight on a dark night.

Let us take heed from the speech of Al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī -may Allah have mercy on him- when he said:

«إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْفِتْنَةَ إِذَا أَقْبَلَتْ عَرَفَهَا كُلُّ عَالِمٍ، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ عَرَفَهَا كُلُّ جَاهِلٍ»
“When the fitnah draws near, it is recognized by every ʿālim (knowledgeable one), and when it has retreated it is recognized by every jāhil (ignorant one).”

Ibn Saʿd, al-Ṭabaqāt al-Kubrá 7/165

As for the Ghāfil (heedless one), he does not recognise the tanbīhāt and the ishārāt and the tawdīhāt due to his Ghaflah and his Jahl. So he is afflicted, falls neck deep into the fitnah, his Īmān is battered and shaken and he exits from it a deviant except for the one whom Allāh سبحانه و تعالى had mercy upon.

“فسوف ترى إذا انكشف الغبارُ أفرس تحت رجلك أم حمارُ”

“You will soon see, when the dust settles, whether it was a horse that you were riding or a donkey.”
