“When the fitnah draws near, it is recognized by every ʿālim, and when it has retreated it is recognized by every jāhil.”
In this lecture, Imām Al-Albānī explains the basis of the Salafī Manhaj, which is following the way, understanding and practical application of the Salaf, who were
namely the first three generations of Muslims: The Sahābah, Tābi’īn and Atbā’
at-Tābi’īn. They are the ones referred to in the Prophet’s saying: “The best of mankind is my generation, then those that come after them, then those that come after them.”
This is the basis that distinguishes the true call to Islām from all other false and erroneous calls, regardless if they claim to be “upon the Qur’ān and the Sunnah.” Al-Albānī goes into depth discussing this fact, that one cannot truly understand and apply the Qur’ān and Sunnah unless he follows the understanding and application of the Salaf.
❝Allah gives respite to the oppressor, but when He takes him over, He never releases him.❞
Ruling of the Muslim Scholars on the Charity and Da’wah Organizations
Within the past few months there have been dubious statements made regarding some of the foundational aspects of the authentic Islamic Creed and methodology. These statements in many instances were made by young men on various social media platforms. For those who are Salafi or have love for the Aqeedah of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah this is sufficient to make a child age instantaneously. It is enough for those who have a mustard seed of jealousy to know that what they are calling toward is manifest misguidance.
Many modern day ‘Muslim’ speakers have adopted the approach of memorizing quotes from the scriptures of the disbelievers in order to debate them and they consider this a methodology to invite to Islam. Was this practice known to the Prophet ﷺ or his Companions? Imām Muqbil bin Hādī al-Wādiʿī answers.
